Brock Lesnar is officially a member of the Monday Night Raw roster.
The WWE Champion kicked off tonight’s show in Long Island, New York accompanied as always by his advocate Paul Heyman. Last week we saw the duo storm off Friday Night Smackdown claiming to “quit” the brand, in order to hunt down Rey Mysterio, who is exclusively to the Raw brand.
Heyman explained that not anyone can just jump ship whenever they want, and that the “Beast Incarnate” has special verbiage in his contract with WWE, on top of having leverage to negotiate whatever kind of deals he sees fit.
However, it does appear that Lesnar being officially relocated to Monday nights is closing up a plot hole that WWE created for itself during the recent Draft. Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross were both sent to Smackdown following the conclusion of the draft for “future considerations”, and it looks like Brock will settle that score.
It didn’t take long for Lesnar to begin terrorizing the red brand, as the WWE Champion stormed the backstage area looking to get his hands on Mysterio, and absolutely brutalized anyone who got in his way. A few well-placed plants were tossed around, one nearly got choked out, a car door was ripped from its hinges – and we’re just kicking off the show!
