On last night’s Raw show, some fans noticed that the usual ring announcer Jojo was not there to do her job. SquaredCircleSirens reported that she was not there to do the announcing last night due to a death in her family. Jojo later confirmed that her sister Gigi did pass away recently and that was the reason why she was absent from last night’s broadcast. Jojo has been the ring announcer on Raw ever since Lillian Garcia and Eden both left last year. It is being said that WWE allowed Jojo to miss the show after finding out about the unfortunate incident. There is no word right now on how long she is expected to be out for.
We have another pay-per-view confirmed to be taking place a little bit later on in the year. WWE has announced that they will be bringing back the Clash of Champions pay-per-view in December of this year. WWE created the event last year after cancelling their planned Night of Champions pay-per-view. The original concept of having each title defended on the show still remains. Last year’s show was a Raw-exclusive event and it featured Kevin Owens retaining the Universal Championship over Seth Rollins. Which brand will get the show this year has not been revealed. The pay-per-view will be taking place in the TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts on December 17th.
Last year’s show took place in September rather than December. Since the Clash of Champions show is being pushed back all the way to December, it looks like the company has decided to cancel another pay-per-view altogether. WWE has no listing right now for Roadblock: End of the Line, which was a Raw-exclusive show that took place on December 18th last year. Roadblock was a live event that aired on the WWE Network early in 2016 with a Triple H vs. Dean Ambrose main event. WWE made it a full pay-per-view later that year, and that show had a Kevin Owens vs. Roman Reigns main event. As of now, it looks like WWE has decided to remove the pay-per-view from its lineup.
