With SmackDown’s last brand-exclusive pay-per-view before WrestleMania less than a week away, WWE didn’t wait until Tuesday night’s go-home show to start rounding out the card for Elimination Chamber.
WWE.com announced on Tuesday afternoon that Becky Lynch would be taking on Mickie James at the PPV. Their storyline began when James was unveiled as La Luchadora and cost Lynch her shot at the SmackDown Women’s Championship in a cage match against Alexa Bliss last month, with James later cutting a promo voicing her displeasure with Lynch and WWE’s women’s revolution.
The addition of Lynch vs. James means that there will be three women’s matches on the PPV. Bliss defending her Women’s Championship against Naomi and Nikki Bella vs. Natalya are also set for Elimination Chamber.
Elimination Chamber will take place on February 12th at the Talking Stick Resort Arena in Phoenix, Arizona. The updated card for the show is:
John Cena defending the WWE Championship against AJ Styles, Dean Ambrose, The Miz, Baron Corbin, and Bray Wyatt in an Elimination Chamber match
Alexa Bliss defending the SmackDown Women’s Championship against Naomi
American Alpha defending the SmackDown Tag Team Championship against The Usos, Heath Slater & Rhyno, The Vaudevillains, Breezango, and The Ascension in a tag team turmoil match
Nikki Bella vs. Natalya
Becky Lynch vs. Mickie James
