Brazilian Superleague, one of the most valuable and attractive volleyball league in the world, was launched few weeks ago . This season will be special due to just one, but vital modification in rules, because sets are played just until 21, similarly like in the CEV European League. It is a test of an idea of Ary Graca (FIVB and CBV president), which may be passed to the international competition.
Sesi Sao Paulo had the most problems in the second day, standing against UFJF wining after five long sets. Hosts gave a good resistance to a stronger opponent, but didn’t have enough strength for the final set.
Sada Cruzeiro, which has already played four games, is still unbeaten. However, the leader on the table didn’t have an easy job with Funvic. Away team managed to steel one set, and was close to get maybe one more, but Sada Cruzeiro got away with 3:1 victory.
RJX also won a game with 3:1. With less troubles. Monte Claros only shocked a defending champion in first set. Everything after that went as RJX have planned.
Maringa scored three points against Canoas thanks to Ricardo Garcia, who probably came back to his best shape.
