In a match taped last Saturday prior to NXT Takeover: Toronto, that aired this Wednesday night on NXT television, Jordan Myles (fka ACH) defeated former Impact Wrestling X-Division Champion Cameron Grimes (Trevor Lee) to win the 2019 NXT Breakout Tournament.
The tournament was announced last month by General Manager William Regal, featuring eight up-and-coming stars from the WWE Performance Center that had yet to make their debut on TV. Myles defeated Boa and Angel Garza (Garza Jr.) on his way to the finals, before defeating Grimes, who had bested Isaiah Scott (Shane Strickland) and Dexter Lumis (Sam Shaw) to pave his own path to the final round.

Per the stipulations laid out prior to the start of the tournament, Myles will now receive a contract for a future NXT championship of his choosing, which could including a match for the NXT Championship held by Adam Cole, the NXT North American Championship held by Velveteen Dream, or perhaps even a shot at the Street Profits NXT Tag Team Championships if he finds a partner.
