Successful applicant will assist with all aspects an NCAA Division II program. Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, assisting with the recruitment, guidance, education and development of student-athletes to achieve their fullest potential. A strong background in skill analysis and techniques of wrestling is needed. Applicants need to have experience at a competitive intercollegiate level, as well as knowledge of both Freestyle and Greco-Roman techniques. The individual selected will also be responsible for organizing and developing a local youth wrestling program. The willingness to act as a positive role model is a must.
The successful applicant must communicate and interact with personnel in all support areas in the athletic department, as well as within the university community, parents, alumni, and fans. He will also participate in the marketing and promotion of the wrestling program. The Assistant Coach maintains continual knowledge of all applicable NCAA, Conference, University and department rules and regulations.
Undergraduate degree is required. Compensation will be $20,000 for eleven month contract, plus a graduate tuition waiver if the applicant wishes to obtain a graduate degree. A campus meal plan will be available also.
