Shayna Baszler made a name for herself in Mixed Martial Arts for several years, and now she has brought her MMA experience over to professional wrestling. After competing on the independent circuit for a while, she received mainstream attention when she participated in the Mae Young Classic tournament on the WWE Network last year. She later signed with WWE and just recently made her debut on NXT. Baszler recently posted a video of herself training for her new NXT run on at the WWE Performance Center. Just in case anybody had any doubts, Baszler proves here that she has absolutely no fear and will likely become one of the most dominant forces in NXT history.

Sonjay Dutt has had an impressive run in Impact Wrestling so far. Dutt has been competing all over the world for several years now, and he has also held Impact’s X Division Championship in the past. He currently works as a wrestler, producer, and creative member of Impact, but Dutt has informed fans that he is currently dealing with an injury that will keep him out of action for a while. Dutt confirmed on Twitter that he has undergone surgery for an Achilles tear. It’s the first surgery in Dutt’s long career, and even though he promises to return at some point, he noted that he likely won’t be wrestling in the immediate future.
Starting off my 18th year in pro wrestling the wrong way. My first surgery later today to fix my torn right achilles. Thank God I’m alive and will be fixed to 100%, albeit taking a while! Be safe everyone, even planting your foot can be dangerous!
