B Team Wins Tag Titles, Angle Gives Lesnar Update, Sutter at PC

Posted on July 21, 2020

Although they were once just lackeys for The Miz once upon a time, Curtis Axel and Bo Dallas have been getting some wins on Raw ever since their mentor was moved over to Smackdown earlier this year, and the two of them even earned themselves a shot at the Raw Tag Team Championships during the Extreme Rules pay-per-view last night. The match did finally take place during the Extreme Rules Kickoff show yesterday, and The B Team actually managed to defeat Bray Wyatt and “Woken” Matt Hardy to win the tag team titles. The title change provides Bo Dallas with his first championship on the main WWE roster, and Axel is now holding the tag team titles for the second time in his career.

The divisive Universal Champion could finally be on his way back to WWE television very soon. During last night’s Extreme Rules pay-per-view, Raw General Manager Kurt Angle was interviewed backstage when he mentioned that he had grown tired of his world champion never appearing on television. As a result, Angle decided to offer “The Beast Incarnate” an ultimatum. Angle said that Brock must appear on tonight’s episode of Raw or else he will risk being stripped of the Universal Championship. WWE has not confirmed if Lesnar will be appearing on Raw tonight, but fans who plan on checking out the show later on this evening should be on the lookout for Lesnar as the road to SummerSlam officially begins.

It has become increasingly more common for WWE to invite certain wrestling personalities over to the WWE Performance Center in order to have them serve as guest trainers. Guests invited to train at the Performance Center can introduce recruits to some unique styles and offense used in wrestling from all over the world. It has just been announced by independent wrestler Pepper Parks that he just wrapped up a one-week stint as a guest coach at the Performance Center this week. Parks is mostly known for his time in Impact Wrestling when he competed as Braxton Sutter. Pepper Parks left the promotion earlier this year and has since returned to competing on the independent wrestling circuit.

Thank you to these coaches, the staff, the talent, everybody at the @WWE #PerformanceCenter for having me as a guest coach this past week. The amount of hard work & positive energy that place puts out on a daily basis could light the city of Orlando ! pic.twitter.com/cXQzYoMgIS
