WWE is still set to present their Crown Jewel event live in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia tomorrow. The company returns to Saudi Arabia despite plenty of encouragement from fans to cancel the event. WWE’s 10-year partnership with the nation of Saudi Arabia quickly became controversial when it was made earlier this year, but the company recently confirmed that they will be airing Crown Jewel show as planned. TMZ caught up with numerous WWE Superstars to get their thoughts on the company returning to Saudi Arabia, but the likes of Sheamus and The Miz did not provide clear answers on their opinions. It has previously been reported that not all of the WWE roster members are eager to work in Saudi Arabia.
As previously reported, WWE quietly began advertising Hulk Hogan for tomorrow’s Crown Jewel show before later confirming that that WWE Hall of Famer will indeed be appearing in Saudi Arabia to serve as the host for the pay-per-view. PWInsider has now reported that Hogan has arrived in the country with WWE Hall of Famer Jimmy Hart and is expected to appear on camera for WWE’s event tomorrow. This will mark Hogan’s first appearance on a WWE program since he was released in 2015 for racist comments that were discovered in his leaked sex tape. Hogan appeared backstage at an event to apologize to WWE talent earlier this year, which prompted WWE to reinstate the former world champion into their Hall of Fame.
The future for a lot of the current members of the Bullet Club faction remain unknown at the moment. While it is still possible that the members of The Elite could be joining WWE or a different wrestling promotion once they become free agents in 2019, there are still plenty of other members who are keeping the reputation of the group alive. Unfortunately, one member of the Bullet Club, Taiji Ishimori has just received an injury. He had been scheduled to wrestle on New Japan Pro Wrestling’s Road to Power Struggle event earlier today, but he was pulled from the show due to an ankle injury that he received last night. As of right now, it is unclear just exactly how much time Ishimori is expected to miss from the ring.
