It was just two weeks ago when Roman Reigns announced that he went into remission for his leukemia. Reigns is back on WWE television now and it did not take long for him to get back to work. Reigns’ first match back since October of 2018 saw him reunite with Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins in the main event of the Fastlane pay-per-view last night. The show marked WWE’s final PPV event before WrestleMania 35 in April. All eyes were on the former Universal Champion last night as fans around the world were interested to see how he would perform in his first official match in months. Fortunately, The Shield ended up getting the win in their match and it looks like “The Big Dog” is definitely back for good now.
Not only was it Roman’s first time being back in the ring last night, but it also marked what will likely be The Shield’s final time teaming up together for quite some time. Michael Cole mentioned on commentary numerous times that Dean Ambrose has not renewed his WWE contract and will be leaving after WrestleMania 35. There was a lot of pressure for The Shield walk out of Fastlane victorious yesterday. They faced Baron Corbin, Drew McIntyre, and Bobby Lashley in a six-man tag team match and won via pinfall. Following Fastlane, Seth Rollins will now focus on facing Brock Lesnar for the Universal Championship, but there is no word on what the plans are for Reigns and Ambrose’s matches during the event this year as of right now.

Prior to the Fastlane pay-per-view last night, it was reported that former wrestler and former World Heavyweight Champion Christian was backstage at the show. However, it has now been revealed that he was not the only notable tag team wrestler backstage last night. PWInsider later informed fans that Shad Gaspard and JTG also attended the show in Cleveland, Ohio yesterday. WWE fans may recognize Shad and JTG from their days teaming up together as Cryme Tyme back in the day. The two of them have continued to work together on the independent circuit over the past few years. Christian and Cryme Tyme were both in town for Fastlane, but there is no word on if any other former WWE stars were at the show last night as well.
