FRIDAY NEWS UPDATE
There are no main roster house shows this weekend. The Smackdown crew only works tonight. The Raw crew only Monday in Winnipeg for the go-home show for Super Showdown featuring Brock Lesnar.
Smackdown tonight has Bill Goldberg and Bella Twins appearing, Carmella vs. Naomi winner gets a title shot at Bayley in Saudi Arabia next Thursday, and New Day & Usos vs. John Morrison & The Miz & Dolph Ziggler & Robert Roode.
FOX and ESPN are working together on tomorrow’s Tyson Fury vs. Deontay Wilder heavyweight title fight. It’s been advertised like crazy by the two networks. FOX produced a four-part series to hype the fight, ESPN produced an E60. The promoters have said break-even on the fight is 850,000 PPV buys, with each fighter getting $28 million.
A correction from the current Observer. Ricky Knight Jr. is not the brother of Paige, but is the nephew of Paige and the son of Roy Knight. He’s only 19 years old and promoter Andy Quildan compared him to people like Will Ospreay, Zack Sabre Jr. and Marty Scurll at the same point in their careers.

Former PFL heavyweight champion Philipe Lins debuts with UFC on the 5/2 show in Oklahoma City against Andrei Arlovski.
The 3/7 fight with Edmen Shahbazyan vs. Derek Brunson has been moved to the 4/11 show in Portland, OR.
Eric Spicely, who also does pro wrestling, will face Roman Kopylov on the 3/28 show in Columbus, OH. Spicely was to face Puna Soriano, who has been moved to facing Anthony Hernandez on 5/16 in San Diego.

Sammy Guevara is headed to Melbourne, Australia but due to an ankle injury, will just be appearing and not wrestling tomorrow against Zane Zodiac for Adrenaline Pro Wrestling. Darby Allin goes to Australia in June for World Series Wrestling.
