Rochester, MN – Three days after returning from Louisville, Ky., where it finished sixth in the junior college division of the NWCA National Duals, the Northland wrestling team was back on the mat for the Minnesota College Athletic Conference Dual Meet Championships Wednesday, Jan. 15 at Rochester Community & Technical College.
Northland wrestled to a 3-1 record on the day, good enough for second in the event. Tournament host Rochester won the event with a perfect 4-0 mark on the day. This is Northland’s second consecutive dual meet runner-up finish and fourth since the program began in the 2013-14 season.

Northland began the day with a 48-9 win over Ridgewater and added wins of 34-16 over Itasca and 48-6 over Minnesota West to set up a conference championship match with three-time defending MCAC dual meet champion Rochester.
The championship dual proved to be anti-climactic, as the Pioneers dropped all 10 matches to the Yellowjackets in a 55-0 setback.
