WASHINGTON, DC — Five major Democratic presidential hopefuls are appearing Monday in back-to-back town hall events on CNN.
U.S. Sen. Amy Klobuchar of Minnesota will kick off the evening with a town hall beginning at 7 p.m. Eastern Time. U.S. Sen. Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts will then answer questions beginning at 8 p.m., followed by Sens. Bernie Sanders of Vermont at 9 p.m. and Kamala Harris at 10 p.m. Upstart South Bend Mayor Pete Buttigieg will round out the night at 11 p.m.
The town halls were to air on CNN. Cord-cutters can livestream the programs, but a subscription to a TV provider that carries CNN or a standalone service that bundles the network will be necessary.
Sanders enters the evening as the favorite, according to Oddschecker.com. Sanders has a 20% chance of securing the nomination and is followed closely by Harris with 18.2%. Joe Biden, who is expected to announce his candidacy this week, has the third-highest odds at 15.4%.
Buttiegieg, notably, has surged from relative unknown to a heavyweight candidate with the fourth-best odds to win the nomination. Buttiegieg, at 14.3%, leads both Warren and Klobuchar, who each sit at about 5%.
