Following his New Japan Pro Wrestling debut at Dominion, will Rey Mysterio be competing for the company again, potentially at the Cow Palace?
According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Radio, Mysterio’s future in New Japan has a lot to do with WWE as the conversations are still ongoing between Rey and the company about a return run. Below is a highlight from the latest installment of the Wrestling Observer Radio with a H/T to Ringside News.com for the transcript.
“I don’t know how much more Rey you’re going to get. I mean he is talking to WWE. Everything is up in the air when it comes to [The Cow Palace Show] a lot depends on WWE and how much they offer and what type of thing they offer and all that. It’s all up in the air. But my gut is I was going to say Rey won’t be going until September but it may be quicker than that.”
WWE NXT Superstar, Nixon Newell took to Instagram to thank the fans who have attended WWE’s shows at Download Festival for their support, with these shows being some of her first since returning from injury.
Newell will be competing again later today, but not for WWE, as she heads to PROGRESS Wrestling to challenge Jinny for the PROGRESS Women’s Championship.
#NXTDownload you were a blast! Thank you, guys and gals for being the absolute best 😘 #steffanienewell #DakotaKai #FlyKicks
