WWE has begun airing vignettes for the debut of Dominik Dijakovic, who will be making his presence felt next Wednesday night on NXT television.
Dijakovic, formerly known as Donovan Dijak, signed with WWE in 2017 as one of the hottest rising acts on the independent wrestling scene, and made his in-ring debut at an NXT Live event on 9/23 against Aleister Black.
If you’re thinking to yourself — “haven’t I seen him on television before?” — you are absolutely correct. He actually worked a small number of matches for NXT TV earlier this year under the name “Chris Dijak”, but in each instance he was used as an enhancement talent. This will be his re-debut as a new character, and he is expected to get a big push over the next few months.
Prior to signing with WWE, Dijakovic worked full-time with Ring of Honor from 2015-2016, winning the promotion’s Top Prospects Tournament, while also maintaining an extensive independent schedule.
