More On Why JR, Lawler Were at WWE GRR, Horiki Sumi Speculation

As noted, WWE Hall of Famer Jerry Lawler revealed on Twitter that he and Jim Ross were specifically asked for to be part of the Greatest Royal Rumble event in Saudi Arabia last week.

According to Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio, a member of the Saudi Royal Family specifically requested legendary names Lawler, Ross and The Undertaker, which is part of the reason why they were present at the event.

Meltzer also revealed that one of the Saudi Princes responsible for putting the Greatest Royal Rumble event together asked for names such as Ultimate Warrior and Yokozuna to appear, but apparently the prince was not aware that those legendary wrestlers are now deceased. Meltzer speculated that WWE might have brought Hiroki Sumi in for the Greatest Rumble considering the Saudi Prince did want a sumo wrestler in Yokozuna.
