Luke Harper has requested his release from WWE.
Harper only recently returned from surgery during WrestleMania Axxess events in Brooklyn, wrestling a singles match against NXT Superstar Dominik Dijakovic, as well as competing in the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal at WrestleMania itself.
At 39-years-old he is one of the veteran stars of the locker room, with more than 15 years of in-ring experience including a notable run on the independent scene as Brodie Lee, before signing to a WWE developmental contract in 2012.
During his time with the company, Harper was best known for being a member of the original Wyatt Family, alongside leader Bray Wyatt and Erick Rowan. He and Rowan also had a somewhat successful run as a tag team, winning gold as the Bludgeon Brothers. He is a former WWE Intercontinental Champion, a former NXT Tag Team Champion and a two-time WWE Smackdown Tag Team Champion.
