The Wednesday Night Wars have officially begun, but there ain’t no rest for the wicked as both WWE NXT and All Elite Wrestling must immediately refocus their attention on stacking the lineup for week two.
There are already two big matches confirmed for the October 9 edition of WWE NXT on the USA Network. The first will see former NJPW junior heavyweight ace KUSHIDA step up to WWE United Kingdom Champion WALTER in non-title singles action.
The second of two announced matches will feature Drew Gulak defending the NXT Cruiserweight Championship – and yes, it would appear that is now what we are calling the belt, according to WWE.com – against Lio Rush. Rush defeated Oney Lorcan in the USA Netweork debut two weeks ago to earn the opportunity in his first appearance since WrestleMania.
