— Due to a cost-cutting move, you’re not going to be seeing Christy Hemme and Lance Hoyt on television for at least few more weeks. Because TNA is under pressure to cut financial losses, the duo were told that they won’t be flown in for tonight’s PPV nor the Impact tapings tomorrow night. Hemme lives in Playa Del Ray, Califorina and Hoyt lives in Dallas, Texas — both cities are a long way to Orlando.
— At an autograph signing in Tracy, California last week, Kurt Angle was asked about doing MMA. He said that he would have loved to have done it, but with all his injuries, he doesn’t think it’s going to happen. He also said that Chris Benoit was not a victim of the industry, and that he was responsible for his own actions. Angle said that if Benoit didn’t like where he was, he could have gone to Japan, worked indies or signed with TNA. When the stats of wrestlers vs. other athletes were brought up, Angle said that they would have to be examined against rock stars and actors. He then said that the percentage in rehab would be the same in wrestling and TV acting.
