WWE is apparently looking at possibly bringing back Jimmy Wang Yang and Curt Hawkins along with other past talents and high-level free agents as the company looks to bulk up its’ active talent roster for the upcoming WWE Draft / Brand Extension.
As noted, Jimmy Wang Yang was backstage at Monday’s edition of RAW, where he noted that he had a meeting scheduled with Vince McMahon. According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Wang Yang and Hawkins are both guys WWE is looking at bringing in, with the idea being they still have name value and name recognition from the past, which can be used to put over and help elevate up-and-coming talent.
In related news, WWE is also reportedly interested in signing Lucha Underground stars Volador Jr. and Rush. As noted last week, WWE has also expressed interest in Lucha Underground star Prince Puma (Ricochet).
The WWE Draft / Brand Extension is scheduled to take place on the first live Tuesday edition of WWE SmackDown, which goes down live on July 19th.
