WWE NXT Live Event Results (11/11/17) – Riverside, CA

Posted on November 29, 2020

Thanks to rajah.com reader Rem Martinez for sending this in:

Hey guys, I just got back from the sold out NXT Live Event at the Riverside
Municipal Auditorium in Riverside, CA. The crowd was rocking from start to
finish. Riverside’s own, Ronda Rousey was sitting ringside as well. Enjoy the
Champ’s Report of the show. Kayla Braxton was the ring announcer for the
evening. I don’t know if it was a mistake or not, but Kayla said that next
weekend’s War Games Match @ Takeover would be for the NXT Tag Team
Championship as she was running down the lineup.

Match #1

Tino Sabbatelli and Riddick Moss vs Street Profits

Montez Ford has incredible agility and can fly with the best of them. Moss
and Sabi spent the majority of the match keeping Ford away from his corner.
Montez eventually makes the hot tag to Angelo Dawkins and he cleans house.
Montez takes Tino out on the outside with a Moonsault and Dawkins rolls up
Moss for the 1-2-3.

Winners: Street Profits

Very good opener.

Match #2

Billie Kay vs Vanessa Bourne

Vanessa shows promise, but it still very green in the ring. Random chant of
“We Want Tables” breaks out. Billie goes under the ring to pull out a table,
but changes her mind at the last minute. Billie puts Vanessa away with the
Shades of Kay for the 1-2-3.

Winner: Billie Kay

Velveteen Dream appears on the tron and says Aleister Black will say his name
tonight.

The newly formed tag team of Wesley Blake and Steve Cutler make their way to
the ring. Blake says we should show Cutler some respect because it was
Veteran’s Day in the US (Cutler is a Veteran). Cutler decides that he doesn’t
want our respect and calls the crowd garbage. They also call SAnitY and TM61
garbage (calling out TM61 seemed random). A “We Want Murphy” chant breaks
out. Cutler says “Check the E! Network because he’s on Total Divas”. The
crowd laughs. Murphy is engaged Alexa Bliss and they are both on the show.
Blake and Cutler issue an open challenge and it is accepted.

Match #3

Steve Cutler and Wesley Blake vs Heavy Machinery

Otis Dozovic is quickly becoming a favorite of mine. His mannerisms are
hilarious. The crowd popped like crazy when Otis successfully did the Worm.
The crowd was also impressed with how agile Tucker Knight was. Tucker and
Otis put Cutler/Blake away with a double Compactor for the 1-2-3.

Winners: Heavy Machinery

Match #4

Roderick Strong vs Adam Cole

Roddy got a great pop, but the crowd exploded for Adam Cole (Bay Bay). A
great back and forth contest from 2 of the best on earth. Dueling “Let’s Go
Roddy” and “Adam Cole” chants happened for the entire match. This match had
everything from Superkicks to Backbreakers. Strong Irish Whipped Cole into
the corner, then Strong went for a flying knee, Cole avoided it and stacked
Roddy with his feet on the ropes for the 1-2-3.

Winner: Adam Cole

Roderick can’t believe what just happened.

Intermission Time

Match #5

Lars Sullivan vs Kassius Ohno

A sample of a Takeover: War Games match in this contest. A Snitsky chant
broke out towards Lars. Ohno was hitting Lars with everything. Rolling
Elbows, Stiff Punches and Big Boots. Lars was almost no selling Ohno’s
offense and every hit just made Lars more angry. Lars put Kassius away with
his Waist Lift Side Slam for the 1-2-3.

Winner: Lars Sullivan

Match #6

Nikki Cross vs Kairi Sane vs Ember Moon vs Peyton Royce in a Fatal 4 Way
Match

This was the match of the night by far. Lots of “Women’s Wrestling” Chants.
Kairi hugged Ronda Rousey on her way to the ring. Peyton taunted Ronda on her
way to the ring. This match was a crazy spot fest. Peyton Royce did a Sunset
Flip into a Powerbomb on Ember Moon, who had Kairi Sane on her shoulders, who
was Superplexing Nikki Cross off the top rope all at the same time. Yeah.
Kairi Sane had Peyton Royce in the middle of the ring locked in a
Cross-legged Boston Crab (Ikari). Peyton is about to tap, but here comes the
other half of the Iconic Duo, Billie Kay. Kay tosses Nikki Cross back in the
ring and Nikki breaks up the Submission. Match ended when Kairi hits the
Insane Elbow on Nikki Cross. Before the Pirate Princess can get a 3 count,
Peyton Royce knees her in the head and pins Nikki Cross herself 1-2-3.

Winner: Peyton Royce

Wow, just wow.

Kayla Braxton thanks us for coming and is about to announce the Main Event,
but she is interrupted by Zelina Vega. She introduces the “New” Andrade
“Cien” Almas.

Main Event

Andrade “Cien” Almas w/Zelina Vega and Velveteen Dream vs Aleister Black and
Drew McIntyre

A fun match to close the show. Velveteen is great when it comes to getting
heat on himself. Lots of Purple Rain Chants. Zelina got involved a couple of
times and everyone kept an eye on Ronda Rousey to see if she would do
anything about it (she didn’t). The match ends when Andrade gets a Future
Shock DDT and a Claymore from the NXT Champion. 1-2-3.

Winners: Drew McIntyre and Aleister Black

After the match, Drew gets on the mic and thanks us for coming. He brings up
the fact that the West Coast has never hosted a NXT Takeover Event. He thinks
he should talk to “Uncle Paul” (Triple H) about it.

Biggest Pops
1. Adam Cole (Bay Bay)
2. Roderick Strong, Aleister Black, Drew McIntyre, Kairi Sane and Peyton
Royce (5 way tie)

Biggest Heat
1. Velveteen Dream
2. Tino Sabbatelli and Riddick Moss
3. Velveteen Dream (Yes, again)
