UFC heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier spoke to Submission Radio to hype his upcoming UFC 241 bout against Stipe Miocic this Saturday from the Honda Center in Anaheim, California. During the interview, Cormier was asked how he felt about Seth Rollins beating Brock Lesnar for the Universal championship at SummerSlam. Cormier would respond by throwing praises to the Architect, stating that he’s a work horse who wrestles every show if he can.
Seth is the man. He’s a great guy. Works extremely hard and he’s on TV every week. I think with the new direction that the WWE is going…they want to have that belt present. With the new writers and the new creative direction that they’re going it’s a good decision to put the belt on someone that’s going to be there every week. Seth does everything. He does the house shows. He wrestles every pay per view. He wrestles every Monday Night Raw.
Cormier would later reveal that he hasn’t spoken to Lesnar since their planned superfight never panned out, but commends the Beast for sticking with the WWE and being happy.
I haven’t spoken to Brock. Last I talked to Brock was right after the fight didn’t come to fruition. You know what…he made a great decision. They take care of him great over there. He’s a great performer. He’s a great fighter. He’s a great dude. I’m just happy that he’s happy.
