Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic opens with huge 2016 Finals rematch

The Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic is back, and the first round starts Wednesday with a huge matchup pitting the red-hot TM61 against the dominant Authors of Pain.

These duos know each other well, having clashed in the finals of the last Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic in 2016. That battle featured AOP’s legendary manager, Paul Ellering, hanging above the ring in a Shark Cage as Akam & Rezar ultimately prevailed to take home the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic Cup at TakeOver: Toronto.

This time around, Shane Thorne & Nick Miller are fresh off their return to the ring following Thorne’s injury, and the Australian duo have looked stronger than ever. Already one of the world’s most renowned tag teams, TM61 is primed for their first-round showdown with the monstrous former NXT Tag Team Champions.

Will TM61 continue their rise to the top of NXT’s Tag Team division with a statement-making victory over AOP in the first round of the Dusty Classic? Or will the Authors of Pain begin to pave their next path of destruction en route to a potential second Dusty Classic Cup victory?

Don’t miss the first match of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic Wednesday at 8/7 C, on the award-winning WWE Network.

Aleister Black and Killian Dain wage war amid NXT Title aspirations

Two of NXT’s most devastating forces are about to collide. Aleister Black and Killian Dain will settle their differences inside the squared circle on Wednesday in what is sure to be a high-impact affair.

On the Feb. 14 episode of NXT, Black addressed the NXT Universe, beginning what sounded like his intentions to challenge for the NXT Title. Yet, before the enigmatic Superstar could finish his message, SAnitY’s Kilian Dain arrived, making clear his goal of winning NXT’s most coveted prize.

The intense exchange boiled over two weeks later when Black interrupted NXT Champion Andrade “Cien” Almas’ address in front of the NXT Universe, only to have Dain once again interject. This time, the two destructive gladiators came to blows, engaging in a fiery fight as the show went off the air while Almas wisely slipped out of danger.

This Wednesday on NXT, Black and Dain will face off in a contest that could potentially have NXT Championship implications. Will The Beast of Belfast fade to black, or will the tattooed Dutchman fall underneath the weight of the devil on his back?

Witness this huge head-to-head clash between Aleister Black and Killian Dain Wednesday at 8/7 C on WWE Network.
