New Japan ace Hiroshi Tanahashi is heading to the annual Harley Race Wrestling Camp to scout talent for New Japan.
Tanahashi (NJPW), Hurricane Helms (TNA), and Dave Taylor (WWE) were announced Tuesday as new talent scouts for the camp.
The camp runs August 22 through Aug. 26. Tanahashi will be in the U.S. for ROH’s “Death Before Dishonor” PPV weekend Aug. 19 and 20 in Las Vegas before traveling to Missouri for the camp.
Tanahashi will be joined by “three younger wrestlers” from New Japan at the camp.
Meanwhile, Dave Taylor, who got a shout-out from the announcers Monday night on Raw, will be representing WWE at the camp. Taylor is replacing Jerry Brisco, who will not be appearing at this year’s camp “due to a scheduling conflict.”
Hurricane Helms is a backstage agent for TNA Impact and will be scouting/working with students.
