It was rumored for a while last year that Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson would return to the ring for a match at WrestleMania 35. Although it does not seem like he will be wrestling this year after all, some fans were still hopeful that the former world champion would make some sort of appearance at the event. However, it looks like that will not be happening either now. According to a report from Ringside News, WWE does not have any plans for The Rock at WrestleMania as of right now. Plans could always change between now and early April, but this would seem to indicate that “The People’s Champion” won’t be appearing at the show at all. The Rock’s last WrestleMania appearance is at WrestleMania 32 back in 2016.
When Bayley and Sasha Banks retained the Women’s Tag Team Championships at Fastlane earlier this month, few could have predicted that Nia Jax and Tamina would take in their frustration on Natalya and WWE Hall of Famer Beth Phoenix. Phoenix was doing commentary for the match when Jax and Tamina beat her down before Natalya ran down to help her. According to Cageside Seats, the plan is for Phoenix and Natalya to reunite for a match at WrestleMania 35 for the Women’s Tag Team Championships. If that is the case, one would think that Jax and Tamina would also be added to the match, thus making it a Triple Threat tag team match. Phoenix, who went into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2017, has not competed in a regular match in years, somit should be interesting to see the former Women’s Champion back in action.
There have been a ton of updates and reports on Harper over the past few weeks. Harper has been away recovering from an injury, but it sounds like the former Intercontinental Champion is ready to make his return. Cageside Seats reports that Harper has been cleared and can return to themromg at any time now. His tag team partner Rowan was also injured for months but he has since returned as Daniel Bryan’s bodyguard. Meanwhile, Bray Wyatt, another former tag team partner of Harper’s has been teasing making his return to TV. There is currently no word on when Harper will be brought back to WWE programming, but now that he is ready to go, it should hopefully not be too much longer until he reappears.
