Say what you will about WWE’s cruiserweight division, but the company has been taking steps in recent months to enhance the 205 Live brand. Stars such as Enzo Amore and Kalisto have joined the division, the brand will begin hosting exclusive live events starting next year, and it was reported this week that former Impact Wrestling star Rockstar Spud will be joining the roster very soon. Another big name that has been confirmed to debut on 205 Live is Hideo Itami. Hideo Itami’s debut has been hyped up on the show for weeks now with vignettes airing each week, but we now have a date set for Hideo Itami’s official arrival to WWE’s main roster.

During this week’s episode of 205 Live, it was revealed that Itami will finally be arriving in the cruiserweight division next week. This means that his debut will be taking place on the December 9th edition of 205 Live. Hideo Itami has been teasing his debut on Twitter through a series of messages demanding “respect” from his fellow cruiserweight members. There is currently no word on what the plans are for Itami at the moment, but the Japanese wrestler is still expected to be pushed as a top star on the brand right out of the gate. Prepare for Hideo Itami to put all of your favor cruiserweight roster members to sleep starting next week.

The road to WWE’s main roster has not been a particularly easy one for Hideo Itami. After establishing himself as one of Japan’s greatest wrestlers, the man formerly known as KENTA moved to the United States to work for NXT. His momentum in the developmental brand has been derailed numerous times due to injuries, but Itami has still been delivering some excellent matches ever since he returned earlier this year. Now that he has finally made it to the main roster, Itami will be working on 205 Live and Raw as part of the cruiserweight division. Hideo Itami will be appearing on 205 Live this Tuesday and will remain on the brand going forward.
