John Cena and Nikki Bella had been dating for six years, and the two quickly became a true power couple in the company. Cena and Bella appeared on the Total Divas and Total Bellas shows on the E! network, and they even teamed up for a match together at WrestleMania 33 last year. After years of Cena telling Bella that he does not want to be remarried, he surprised her by proposing to her after winning their WrestleMania match. Although Bella agreed, details on their wedding remained scarce for months, and the couple has since called off their wedding entirely. The relationship between Nikki and John has definitely come to an end, but several conflict reports have been given as to why their marriage was called off.
However, there does appear to be some details for their wedding now after all. It was reported earlier today by People Magazine that Cena and Bella were originally set to be married today. Nikki was also going to wear a dress inspired by Kate Middleton, and she was also going to wear a Marches designed gown. Nikki planned out most of the wedding and Cena was granted the ability to veto certain decisions. Nikki was set to celebrate with a bachelorette party for nine days, but Cena apparently had no interesting in having a bachelor party. Of course, Brie Bella would have been the matron of honor. Unfortunately, the wedding will no longer be taking place due to the recent split between Bella and Cena.
Chris Jericho just returned to New Japan Pro Wrestling earlier this week to continue his feud against Tetsuya Naito. Jericho had been telling people that he would not be coming back to NJPW any time soon, but obviously, that was all merely a red herring. Naito was busted open during an attack from Chris Jericho, and although NJPW usually does not allow their wrestlers to cut themselves open, the Wrestling Observer’s Dave Meltzer has just suggested on Twitter that the promotion has granted Jericho full creative control over his current program with Naito. Jericho has become a bit of a special attraction in New Japan over the past few months, so it will be interesting to see what he will be able to accomplish during his current run in NJPW.
They used to not, but Jericho gets to do what he wants. https://t.co/8Rv2F5QTTb
