European Volleyball Federation has appointed the organizer of CEV Cup Final Four tournament. The Cev Cup Final Four 2008-09 will take place in Athens, Grece.
Very interested in organization of CEV Cup Final Four was Russian Belgorod, but CEV decided on behalf of Athens. Panathinaikos ATHENS will host the Final Four of the 2008/09 Men´s CEV Cup in OAKA – Olympic Indoor Hall, an arena with a capacity of about 18,000 spectators which hosted artistic gymnastics as well as the finals of the basketball tournaments at the 2004 Olympic Games.
Lokomotiv-Belogorie BELGOROD will play Unicaja ALMERIA in the first semifinal, Panathinaikos ATHENS will be facing Bre Banca Lannutti CUNEO in the second semifinal. Both matches are scheduled for Saturday, March 21, and finals set to be played on Sunday, March 22.
