Bagwell/Raven Lawsuit Update, Fish Busted Open, Nash’s Surgery

Posted on July 28, 2020

Buff Bagwell and Raven had been suing WWE over not paying royalties for content on the WWE Network featuring matches and segments that they were both involved in. It was announced on Friday that the case had been dismissed, but PWInsider has provided an update on what happened in the final days of the lawsuit. The report claims that neither side ever attempted to reach a settlement at any point. Instead, the Bagwell and Raven were deposed by WWE attorneys and they eventually agreed to drop the lawsuit. The two former WWE roster members also agreed that they could not file a new lawsuit against the company after the ongoing one was dismissed.
Bobby Fish debuted in NXT earlier this year and he is already on his way to being a star in the promotion. He is currently a member of the Undisputed Era stable with Adam Cole and Kyle O’Reilly, and Fish and O’Reilly also seem to be in line for a future NXT Tag Team Championship reign in the future. Unfortunately, he competed in the main event of a recent NXT live event and was busted open during the match. Fish and O’Reilly were competing in a tag team match in Daytona, Florida against the Authors of Pain on December 7th until Fish began bleeding from the head. Fish and O’Reilly quickly won the match before Fish immediately received medical attention for his cut. Fish’s injury is believed to be accidental and stitched up now, but the abrupt finish to the match was apparently improvised in order to get Fish evaluated by doctors quicker.

On the subject of cuts and gruesome injuries, famous wrestler Kevin Nash was no stranger to receiving both during his time as an active competitor. Nash recently announced that he would be undergoing surgery to repair his knee soon, and he has now done just that. The former WWE, WCW, and TNA star uploaded photo and provided fans an update on his Instagram account, stating, “Not to (sic) pretty, but its straight. Let it heal and start training. Amazing process. Sore as f*** but finally fixed after 33 years” Kevin Nash is still involved in the wrestling business, and he will be appearing on Raw’s 25th anniversary show on January 22nd, 2018.
