During WrestleMania 35, AJ Styles and Randy Orton had a match to settle their differences. In the end, Styles walked out of MetLife Stadium as the winner. However, it appears that the former WWE Champion may have gotten injured in the process. PWInsider reports that Styles was pulled from his scheduled Axxess signing today because of his injuries. Fans were given the option to receive a signed Styles 8×10 in the mail or the chance to meet new WWE Champion Kofi Kingston. Other than that, there is still no word on the exact severity of his injuries. The Wrestling Observer’s Dave Meltzer later said that Styles will be going home early and fans have even spotted him in the airport. Don’t expect to see Styles on SmackDown tomorrow night.
Fans may have their opinions on Michael Cole and his style of commentary, but there is no denying that he is a hard worker for WWE. Cole has been working on camera and behind the scenes for nearly every WWE event for over twenty years, and during WrestleMania 35 yesterday, Cole broke a record with his announcing. According to 411Mania, Cole worked his seventeenth WrestleMania in a row last night and eighteenth overall. The only person who has been on commentary more times at WrestleMania is Jerry “The King” Lawler. The WWE Hall of Famer has called a total of 23 different WrestleMania events. Lawler was brought back last night to call the match between AJ Styles and Randy Orton.
Trouble is still coming for Tammy Sytch, better known as Sunny during her run with the WWF. Sytch was arrested after failing to honor the terms of her plea deal for her past DUI charges. After spending time in jail in New Jersey, she was extradited to Pennsylvania last month. PWInsider posted an update on Sytch earlier today stating that the hearing for revocation for her parole has been moved to a different date. A new defense attorney will be representing the former wrestling manager going forward, and the hearing is now set to take place on May 16th. Sytch has had a history with legal problems over the past few years. She was honored with an induction into the WWE Hall of Fame during the 2011 ceremony.
