A pilot who was released from Bangladesh Air Force in 1993 because of his mental condition including depression was in charge of the US-Bangla Airlines Flight BS211 which crashed in Kathmandu’s Tribhuvan International Airport on March 12, 2018, killing 51 people, a probe has found.
According to the findings of the Accident Investigation Commission, ‘loss of situational awareness of crew member’ caused the mishap.
